PET or PETE is commonly known as the clear plastic which is used for water and soda bottle containers. As a raw material, PET is globally recognized as a safe, non-toxic, strong, lightweight, flexible material that is 100% recyclable.
According to PET Resin Association, food and beverage containers made from the polyester plastic known as PET do not contain Bisphenol-A (BPA).
