Bears for Humanity Contributes to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital to Bring Comfort to Young Patients

Bears for Humanity is proud to make a contribution to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. For the past 25 years, the facility has served the San Francisco Bay Area community and is one of a handful of children’s hospitals in America that incorporates both pediatrics and labor and delivery in one facility.

The new facility puts families first with a unique approach to Family Centered Care. Doctors and nurses combine the most advanced technologies and innovations available to treat the body with holistic healing to nourish the soul.

At Bears for Humanity, we believe that every child and expectant mother deserves the best-in-class care that Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital delivers. We also know that hospital stays are scary for kids. This is why we are pleased to gift the organization with furry friends to boost the spirits of young patients that need it the most.

From farm to fulfillment, our plush toys are made with 100% GOTS Certified Organic materials in compliance with Global Fair Trade practices. Each plush is hand stuffed and sewn with love in the USA by at-risk women participating in the Welfare-to-Work program. Our “Buy One, Give One” program pledges that for every bear purchased on our site, we make a matching donation to reputable charitable organizations that serve children in need.

We are pleased to donate our plush toys to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital to not only bring comfort to patients but also support our shared commitment to environmental sustainability.

Like Bears for Humanity, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital is committed to both ecological responsibility and improving health and quality of life in the community. The organization has implemented a variety of innovative environmental measures, including:

• Electric car charging stations
• Green housekeeping and recycling programs
• Native and adaptive vegetation and gardens
• Local and organic food choices
• Renewable energy systems, including wind turbines
• On-site water collection and storage for garden irrigation

We applaud the tremendous service that Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital provides to its patients, families, and community, and are proud to play a small part in bringing cheer and comfort to its young patients.
